Vegan Baked Oats

Super quick to prepare, these oat bars are a fab energy boost for your little one. 

They are deliciously soft so even very little ones can enjoy them as part of their weaning meal. Also ideal as a snack for on-the-go toddlers.

These are packed full of the essential nutrients, including slow release carbohydrates, fibre and iron from the oats, omega-3 healthy fats from the flaxseeds, and vitamin C from the berries. 

Make sure that the oat milk you use is fortified with calcium, essential for healthy bones and teeth. 

These squares can be kept in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or frozen for up to one month.

Vegan Baked Oats

  • 100 g fresh strawberries cut into small bite-sized chunks
  • 100 g fresh raspberries
  • 1 medium banana
  • 150 g plain porridge oats
  • 50 g flaxseeds
  • 300 ml calcium fortified unsweetened oat milk


  • Preheat the oven to 170°C and line a medium sized baking dish with parchment paper
  • Using a potato masher or a fork, mash the banana in a large mixing bowl
  • Add in all of the remaining ingredients and mix well until evenly combined
  • Pour the mixture evenly into the baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and firm
  • Remove from the oven and leave to cool completely before cutting them into 5cm squares
    Optional: sprinkle with flaked almonds and chopped strawberries to serve
